There are several projects that require a replacement bathtub instead of using a liner.
One-piece fiberglass systems cannot be lined, so they must be cut into smaller pieces in order to be removed from the bathroom. This will expose the 2x4 framework (wall studs). Our bath installers will then use moisture resistant wall board, code compliant, so that the space is ready to accept the Durabath SSP replacement tub and walls.
This application calls for a structural bathtub, made from the same exclusive blend of Durabath SSP. The replacement tub has an integral flange around the top, which is used to anchor the tub to the studs. The tub is simultaneously plumbed by one of our licensed plumbers, who will install a new brass waste and overflow assembly, new drain, shower valve and new showerhead.
